The weekly OPS Meeting is a stalwart of the CH Projects managerial success plan.

However, we have lost our way on it, and we take a deep personal responsibility for this.  The time has come for that to change. Many times over the course of our managerial careers, we have found ourselves rallying against the seemingly mundane task, only to have the Life lesson circle back on us when we observed systems failing, costs rising, sales declining, and, generally speaking, backward momentum.

What we aim to do in reinvigorating and cementing these is a core process that boils down to four things.

  1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  2. FINANCIAL PROWESS
  3. PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT
  4. STAFF ANALYSIS </aside>

These present in an OPS Meeting with the following agenda:

  1. ACTION ITEMS
  2. HOT ITEMS
  3. ROSTER RECAP
  4. SENTIMENT
  5. FINANCIALS
  6. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
  7. REFLECT
  8. (FUTURE PROJECT) 90-DAY GOALS AKA ROCKS </aside>

Lets dive into what we mean by each section:

1. ACTION ITEMS: A review of the open tasks (An action item is a task, with a cooler name) from the previous meeting and confirmation of any completed tasks with brief moments to reflect on how to carry that success into the future.  All closed items need a brief note on how it concluded. Repeating the concept, to distill: An action item is derived from a Hot Item, or other discussion in the meeting. (Project Management)
